Chapter 6
"A long time ago, before our births, Queen Serenity was the
powerful ruler of the Solar System. She was also called the Goddess
of Night, the wielder of the Silver Imperium Crystal, also one of
the few strongest senshi left.
The Sailor Wars had ended with Galaxia's sacrifice. But with
that, most of her existence became unknown. Then other smaller pieces
of Chaos entered other powerful beings in the galaxy. Yet the majority
of them did not attack anyone. Until the appearance of the Vortex, a
black hole which would appear every 5 million year opening a portal
to another dark dimension. Two shadows had escaped out of their imprisonment
and began to collect the remnants of Chaos. They formed a formidable
army and began a silent destruction of the surviving senshis.
Queen Serenity was baffled at the disappearance of her comrades.
While meditating in her throne room, a mysterious senshi by the name
Myrona appeared. She approached Queen Serenity with an offer to defeat
the two shadows in return for a certain child. No one knew what passed
next. Finally, the royal court was shocked to hear of their Queen's
decision. The child was sought out and handed to the Myrona. The parents
objected but could not argue for Myrona was their only hope of salvation.
Myrona vanished in a bright light. A year later, Princess Serenity
was born." Setsuna cleared her throat. "Strangely though, all who knew
of Myrona's price seem to have forgotten all about it, except Queen
Serenity. When she told me the story, I inquired about the two shadows
and the apparent forgetfulness of the people. Queen Serenity shook her
head. The two shadows and their army had vanished after Myrona's disappearance.
Another senshi by the name of Gaia had created a mind swipe, thus erasing
this incident from all except Queen Serenity's mind. I was satisfied with
her reply and did not inquire anymore."
"Who is Gaia?" asked Usagi curiously.
"Oh, I must have left that out. She was reputed to be the loyal
guardian of Myrona. She too vanished after the mind swipe." Setsuna
leaned back and a silence descended on the group.
"That's all?"
"That's all." replied Setsuna firmly.
"Then why did you call them sorceresses in the first place?"
"That's the same question I asked Queen Serenity." mused Setsuna
"apparently that's how they described themselves, as the sorceresses."
"Soo...what else is new?"
No one answered Makoto's question.
